Tea Bridge

The city of Wuyuan is located in the famous golden triangle area of green tea with an history of more than 1200 years for planting and producing tea.The client asked to design a bridge tea-house to connect the 2 banks of a small stream in front of his factory.The project is inspired by the natural and organic shapes of the environment.The design starts from a simple stripe that get turned along the longitudinal axis.The geometry that results allows the creation of seating along the bridge.The main material of the structure is steel, able to realize long distance with just one central column to support the entire weight.The second material that cover the structure is wood to mitigate the impact view with the surrounding.
