Wuhu - China

 

The  cultural  center  of  Wuhu  is  part  of  a   wide  bigger  project  with  the  purpose  of  a   city  regeneration,  starting  from  the  culture   theme. The  complex  get  inspiration  from  the   mountains  shape  at  the  edge  of  the  city. The  project  is  composed  by  4  buildings; each  one  is  about  4  levels  overground   connected  through  an  underground   platform  used  as  parking  and  techical   spaces.

The  functions  we  find  in  the  buildings  are   museum  with  permanent  and  temporary   exhibition,  2  auditorium,  library  and  spaces   for  offices.

The  technology  used  is  a  frame  or  reinfor-­ ced  concrete.

The  exterior  walls  are  in  concrete  with  a   wood  texture  as  final  surface.

The  building  follow  the  LEED  protocol.
